Turkish Vice President Yılmaz in TRNC

Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz paid a one-day working visit to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) yesterday.

Speaking at a joint press conference with Prime Minister Ünal Üstel at the Ercan Airport, Yılmaz reiterated Ankara’s support for the development of the TRNC and the prosperity of the Turkish Cypriot people.

Stating that they were determined to deepen the cooperation with the TRNC, Yılmaz also emphasized that the security and welfare of Turkish Cypriot’s were indispensable for Türkiye.

Prime Minister Ünal Üstel expressed their commitments to elevating cooperation with Türkiye to a higher level. He emphasized that in order to make TRNC a self-sufficient state, economic development must be accelerated and carried out in a planned manner, pointing to the 5-year development plan launched yesterday.
