22 November, 2017On Wednesday, TRNC Speaker of the Assembly Sibel Siber attended the10th plenary session of the Asia Parliamentary Assembly (APA) hosted in Turkey this year.
The theme of this year’s assembly is “Sustaining Peace and Development in Asia” and Speaker Siber was invited to the event by Speaker of the Turkish Parliament İsmail Kahraman, who took over the Presidency of the Assembly from Cambodia at this year’s opening session.
During the assembly, Siber held meetings with the heads of parliament and delegations from many countries on the Asian continent. During her meetings, Siber emphasized the importance of dialogue between parliamentarians and stressed that their participation in parliamentary meetings should not be prevented.
