President Tatar to participate in the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation summit being held in Gambia

President Ersin Tatar will today depart for the 15th Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Summit of Heads of State and Government, to be held in Banjul, the capital of the Republic of the Gambia.

According to the statement issued by the TRNC Presidency, the President will address the Heads of States and Governments at the Summit.

In addition to his high-level bilateral meetings at the Summit, President Tatar will also give interviews to various press organisations and agencies.

The Summit which is organised every 3 years by the member countries of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), will be held in the West African country of the Gambia on 4-5 May this year.

The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation brings together almost 2 billion people, representing around 25 percent of the world’s population.
