TRNC President Ersin Tatar will receive the Personal Envoy of the UN Secretary-General (UNSG) María Ángela Holguín Cuéllar today (May 8).

According to information by the TRNC Presidency, the delegations of Tatar and Holguin will also attend the meeting.

UNSG’s Personal Envoy Holguin was appointed for a period not exceeding six months on January 5, 2024, by the UN Secretary-General with a specific mandate to explore whether common ground exists or not between the two sides to start a new and formal process. This will be the third round of visits of Ms. Holguin to the island of Cyprus, following earlier visits in January and March.
